Cultural Workshops for Members of Norumbega Lodge

For a variety of Scandinavian crafts and literature which would be difficult to present as programs for regular Lodge meetings, we occasionally offer workshop settings designed for 8 to 12 persons. In these, members have learned many things, such as: lefse making, Viking sagas, wooden flute creation, and how to choose and maintain skiing equipment.

Workshops continue to be added.

As an aid to planning, all prospective attendees should make a reservation.

Upcoming Events and Activities

Group Reading of Peer Gynt with Music

Date: Sunday, April 15, 2:00 PM.
Description: Join the Scandinavian Forum for an afternoon of group reading (as Ibsen intended) of Peer Gynt with accompanying music by Edvard Grieg.
Location: Dick and Jean Husher's, Newton.
Please call Jean to reserve space and obtain details.

Due to limited space at most meetings, these workshops are generally limited to members of Norumbega Lodge. (If you are not a member but would like to attend a session, please contact the Cultural Director for further information.) Members will find details in "The Tidende."

Plans are underway for other workshops in the near future:

Any suggestions?
